Event categories

When creating a new event in the calendar, you are able to classify the event by event category (see also section Calendar and events). At least one event category must be defined in the system.

On Options/Event categories, use the 'Create new' button to add a new event category, and the 'Edit' buttons to change existing event categories. You can also drag a category name up and down in the list, and save the order by clicking Save order. The select list for event categories on the booking creating page will be populated in this order. On the edit page of an event category, simply provide the category name in all installed languages.

File upload categories

When uploading a file to the system, you are able to classify the file by file upload category (see also section Files). At least one file upload category must be defined in the system.

On Options/File upload categories, use the 'Create new' button to add a new file upload category, and the 'Edit' buttons to change existing file categories. You can also drag a category name up and down in the list, and save the order by clicking Save order. The select list for file upload categories on the file upload page will be populated in this order. On the edit page of an file upload category, simply provide the category name in all installed languages.

Budgets

When the payment module is enabled in Options/General settings, then there will be an option to create and edit budgets in Options/Budgets. Budgets can be assigned to experiments such that payments can be charged to them, and the system can create payment reports for each budget. (See section Payment module for details.) The list of budgets in Options/Budgets shows ID and name of the budget, whether the budget is enabled (can be charged to), the experimenters related to the budget, and the budget limit (if given).

When adding or editing a budget, you specify the name of the budget (which will be used in any selection lists), a limit (which is a purely informational value, with no consequences), and whether the budget is enabled or not (only enabled budgets are available to be charged to). You can also assign the budget to one or more researchers in the system.

Payment types

When the payment module is enabled in Options/General settings, then there will be an option to create and edit payment types in Options/Payment types. Payment types can be, for example, Cash or Amazon gift certificates. (See section Payment module for details.)

On Options/Payment types, use the 'Create new' button to add a new payment type, and the 'Edit' buttons to change existing payment types. You can also drag a payment type name up and down in the list, and save the order by clicking Save order. The select list for payment types on experiment and session creation pages and in session participant lists will be populated in this order. On the edit page of a payment type, simply provide the payment type name in all installed languages.

Mailboxes

When the email module is enabled in Options/General settings, then there will be an option to create and edit special mail boxes types in Options/Mailboxes. Emails that cannot be assigned to an experiment/session may be assigned to a special mailbox. An example of such a mailbox would be “General questions”. (See section Email module for details.)

On Options/Mailboxes, use the 'Create new' button to add a mailbox, and the 'Edit' buttons to change existing mailboxes. You can also drag a mailbox name up and down in the list, and save the order by clicking Save order. The list of mailboxes will be populated in this order. On the edit page of a mailbox, simply provide the mailbox name in all installed languages.
